Large gains on active NZ market
Share prices rose strongly in active trading on the New Zealand Stock Exchange yesterday, the NZUC industrial index gaining a further 20.14 points. Market leaders were in demand, and this was reflected in the wide trading range for issues like Fletcher Challenge and New Zealand South British. Fletcher was traded between 296 c and 308 c, its largest parcel selling from 306 c, a gain of 11c. NZSB Group improved 17c to 198 c after trading between 181 c and 200 c.
