Driver’s licence renewal
Sir,—ln April last year, I, like Jack Urlwin, went to the Waimairi District Council to renew my driver’s licence before travelling overseas in early May. I too was told I could not renew my licence until May, although the reason given differed — the stickers were not available. Apparently the information given to Jack Urlwin and to me is incorrect. Provided proof of an overseas trip is shown, a licence can be renewed before May. Proof of an overseas trip? I was trying to renew my licence, not break the law. — Yours, etc., VAL RICHARDS.
