Burton and daughter in series
NZPA-PA Los Angeles Richard Burton and his daughter, Kate, will star as father and daughter in a C.B.S. mini-series, “Ellis Island,” which will go into production on May 14. Burton will play the wealthy Phipps Ogden, whose daughter marries an ambitious Italian immigrant. “Ellis Island,” based on the book by Fred Mustard Stewart, follows the lives of four immigrants who arrive on the same ship. They are an Italian gardener, a Russian Jew and two Irish sisters.
