New COC president

Mr Frank Crothall of Christchurch, former managing director of the Command Group, was yesterday elected the president of the New Zealand Chambers of Commerce at its annual meeting in Invercargill. Mr Crothall is a past president of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, a past president of the NZ Employers’ Federation and

is chairman of Horticultural Industries (NZ), Ltd and a director of several companies. He is also of active in employment and training, as the chairman of the Christchurch District Employment and Training Advisory Committee and as a member of the Vocational Training Council and deputy chairman of Christchurch Polytechnic.

Mr Crothall succeeds Mr David Graham of Auckland, who has been the NZ Chambers president for the last year.
