‘Gas’ charge withdrawn
At the request of Detective Sergeant D. M. Quested, a charge laid against Christopher Edward O’Donoghue of assisting the alleged nerve-gas extortionist, Bruce Douglas Cameron, to avoid arrest, was withdrawn before Judge Bisphan in the District Court yesterday. O’Donoghue aged 22, unemployed (Mr T. W. Fournier), was charged with committing the offence on February 29. He had been remanded to yesterday for a defended hearing.
