Marathon land yachting title

Geof McKay, sailing a wingmasted class four yacht, won the Jefferies Jewellers marathon land yachting event at Wigram Air Base over The event, held by the Pegasus Land Yacht Club in conjunction with its Blaster championships, attracted a strong field of 33 yachts. McKay won the one-hour marathon after covering 12 laps of the 3.3 km “Lady Wigram” motor-racing circuit.
