Problems for Boath
The luckless New Zealand soccer captain, Allan Boath, will be struggling to play in tonight’s game against Bahrain. Forced from the field after 73 minutes of New Zealand’s first game against Saudi Arabia, Boath has been hampered by a niggling ankle injury. With constant treatment,
the injury has improved. At times, Boath feels he is almost ready to play but has then failed a fitness test on match day. He will have the ankle Xrayed on his return. If an operation is required, he may well miss the first part of the Rothmans League season.
