Baby dies in fire
PA Dannevirke A two-week-old baby girl died when a house was gutted in Dannevirke on Friday morning. She was Analisia Peggy Martin. The Dannevirke Fire Brigade found the house well ablaze when they arrived about 7 a.m.
The deputy chief fire officer, Mr Bruce Graham, said the fire was brought under control in five minutes.
The other occupants of the house, four adults and a child, were not injured. Fire safety officers and members of the Hastings C.LB. are investigating the fire.
