Search for boat
PA Wellington Two Wellington brothers were missing on Wellington Harbour early this morning in a 4m runabout.
Ross Buckley, aged 22, and his step-brother, Michael Neiman, aged 19, both of Johnsonville, were last seen leaving Evans Bay about 1.30 p.m. yesterday to test a second-hand outboard motor they had renovated. The 50 h.p. motor is thought to have been the only one aboard the Blue Dolphin, an orange ply and fibreglass boat. Their father, Mr Grahame Buckley, said the pair had owned the boat for three months and were inexperienced sailors but the family had done a lot of boating together. Police patrols combed the habour shore last night while the police launch Lady Elizabeth, the Soames Island launch and Wellington sea rescue boats searched the sea.
