Westland: Becoming cloudy; moderate north-easterlies. Tomorrow: Mainly fine in Marlborough; elsewhere, cloud increasing; rain developing in S. Westland; northerlies.

Extended range forecast for the South island to Thursday: A cold front is expected on Wednesday, bringing showers; freshening northerlies in the west and changeable southwesterlies in the east.
