Five Nelson men included
FFive Nelson first division basketball league players have been included in the nine-man invitation side to play 3ZM Canterbury at Cowles Stadium this evening. They are the Americans, Tom Lesco and Jacques Tux, a former New Zealand representative, Nick Costley, and Jack Shallcrass and Athol Webster. The other four players are from Canterbury, including three provincial
squad members, Hugh 1 Thomson, Kelvin Duff (both . High School Old Boys), and i Colin Crampton (Univer- ’ sity). They will be joined by i Murray Turner, captain of 1 Y.M.C.A. ( The team will be handled by Dave Taylor, coach of the Nelson league team. ( Chris Dobbs (Y.M.C.A.) ! and Lance Dixon (Rangi- j ora), who have been un- ( available for the Canterbury < team in recent weeks, will (
play this evening, replacing John Hill and Dave Edmonds, both of Rangiora, who are attending the national training camp at Wellington. lan Webb (Y.M.C.A.) is also a New Zealand finalist.
