Public Notices OFFICE OF THE RACE RELATIONS CONCILIATOR SHARING CULTURES THE MARAE EXPERIENCE THE Race Relations Conciliator In recognising the significant contribution of the marae to the fostering of racial and cultural understanding throughout New Zealand, intends to embark on an organised programme of marae llve-lns. These would Involve up to two days and nights living with Maori people In a Marae situation, exchanging views and gaining an Insight Into Maori culture. He Invites Individual people and groups to respond to the opportunity being offered. The Conciliator emphasises that he is inviting people of all races to consider this proposal. He feels there may even be people of Maori descent who for reasons not of their making, have lost touch with their culture and who would like to renew their links.
