Pigott staying at Sussex
NZPA-Reuter London The England pace bowler, Tony Pigott, has signed a new three-year contract with the English cricket county, Sussex. Pigott made his decision to stay with the club only a few days after he had agreed to join Somerset. Sussex’s chief coach, Stewart Storey, said that Pigott’s decision was for
personal reasons and did not involve an improved offer from the county. “We have never given up hope and the captain, John Barclay, and myself have had long talks to try and convince Tony to remain. “He has accepted our original offer, and no new financial terms have been made to him,” said Mr Storey.
