Tug Lyttelton ends season
The historic steamer Tug Lyttelton will make her last oublic cruise for the summer sailing season tomorrow afternoon. The president of the Tug Lyttelton Society, Mr Malcolm Browne, said that although the season had been short, running from early December to April, it had been ‘‘fairly good.” Small-boat forecast Today’s inshore marine forecast from Lyttelton Harbour to the Waimakariri River mouth, as received from the Weather Office last evening: South-westerlies to 15 knots, becoming variable. North-east-erlies, 15 knots, on Saturday afternoon. Seas moderate and becoming slight. One-metre south-west swell north of Godley Head. A few showers at first with occasional poor visibility.
