Nuclear war
Sir, — “Sir Robert Muldoon is a saint compared with President Reagan,” writes Ted Hicks (April 19). A saint would “not” support the' proliferation of nuclear weapons, “justifiable violence” or oppose the
nuclear-free concept for New Zealand and the Pacific. A saint would not ally his country with one which has publicly announced the possible use of a “first strike” capability. A. saint would not refuse his fellow citizens opportunity to vote against A.N.Z.U.S. by referendum. If Sir Robert Muldoon is any kind of saint, I am glad I will never see the Christian heaven. — Yours, etc. ARTHUR MAY. April 19, 1984.
