Sports injuries
Sir, — We are hearing a good deal about sport-related injuries, particularly in rugby football. They must be a burden on our already heavily-stretched hospital resources. Accident compensation should not be paid out. Instead, there should be some insurance cover. Nobody compels one to play high-injury-risk sports. Other sick patients or ones waiting for operations are set back. — Yours, etc., A. C. FOX. April 16, 1984.
