NZPA Tokyo North Korean sports authorities indicated at the week-end that they would, not resume talks with their South Korean counterparts on a joint team to the Los Angeles Olympics unless Seoul changed its attitude, “Pyongyang Radio” reported. In a letter delivered to South Korea’s Olympic committee through the truce village of Pamnunjom, the North Korean
Olympic committee charged that their first meeting last Monday to discuss the joint team was suspended because the South made “political provocation,” the radio report monitored in Tokyo said. At the first meeting, the South Korean chief delegate, Mr Kim Chong Kyu, reportedly said that North Korea had failed to show its sincerity by refusing to apologise for the Rangoon bombing incident last year
