Camp for philatelists
Young stamp collectors from throughout New Zealand will take part in a philatelic youth camp at Kaiapoi next month. The camp, at the Blue Skies centre, is the first to be held in the South Island since 1977. About 55 people between the ages of 10 and 16 were expected, said the organiser, Mr Grant Ruddi-
The main event will be a competition of three mounted stamp pages. The top entries will be sent to Auckland for an inter-island trophy competition. Talks, stamp swapping sessions, and visits are also planned and a special cover may be issued to commemorate the camp.
