Jail term in sausage case
PA Wellington Malcolm Alan Francis, aged 35, a serviceman, who delivered his wife a fatal blow with a half-frozen dog sausage, was jailed for four years when he appeared for sentence in the High Court at Napier yesterday. He had earlier been convicted by a jury of manslaughter in causing the death of Janet Montgomery Francis at their Flaxmere home on or about October 14 last year.
