City to Sumner run
The fifth annual City to Sumner fun run, organised by the Sumner Round Table and sponsored by Smith’s City Market and Caltex, will be held tomorrow, with all proceeds once again going to the Canterbury Multiple Sclerosis Society. The run will begin from Sydenham Park at 9 a.m. and end at Cave Rock, a distance of 12km. The route
is Brougham Street, Opawa Road, Richardson Terrace, Ferry Road and then around to estuary to Redcliffs. The event has grown in popularity year by year and more than 2500 are expected to participate this time. Late entries will be accepted, along with the 50c entry fee. There will be 30 lucky number draws at the finishing line.
