That in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925. the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and their various Amendments and Regulations made thereunder, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolved by way of Special Order as follows: 1 That for the purpose of supply and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North Canterbury Electric Power District and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its Amendments and by all other powers and Authorities it enabling, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby authorises the raising of a loan of Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for a term of twenty (20) years, at an interest rate of nine and one-half per centum (9.50%) per annum. 2 That the proposed security for the payment of Interest, repayment of principal and the payment of other charges on the said loan is a special rate of 0.02627 cents In the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the North Canterbury Electric Power District. Pursuant to Section 45 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, Public Notice is hereby given that the foregoing resolution will be submitted for confirmation by the North Canterbury Electric Power Board at a meeting to be held In the Board’s office, Ranglora, on the 26th day of April, 1984, at 9.30 a.m. Pursuant to Section 34, paragraph 2, of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, Public Notice is hereby given that a Poll of Ratepayers is required to be taken if fifteen per cent of the North Canterbury Electric Power District so demand, by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Board and received at the office of the Board not later than 9 a.m. on the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution to raise the Special Loan.
