Mr M. C. Payze, commercial manager of the the Shipping Corporation of New Zealand, Ltd, has been appointed assistant general manager of the corporation. Mr Payze joined the corporation in 1974. He was previously involved in the development of container services, and, before that, was a sea-going officer. Mr Payze, who is 40, has a degree in nautical studies.
