Provincial Council Chambers
Sir, — At a recent meeting of the Canterbury Regional Committee of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust, appreciation was expressed of the work done by the people who cleaned the stained glass of the Provincial Council Chamber and fitted protective barriers. Those involved are congratulated. The restoration of the stained glass, compatible painting of the wooden Cortion of the most historic Canterury Provincial Government buildings and the complementary landscaping which will focus attention on particular features of the buildings are welcomed by the committee. — Yours, etc., J. R. ALLISON, Secretary, Canterbury Regional Committee, N.Z. Historic Places Trust. April 10, 1984.
