Overseas cargo volume drops

Figures given by the Statistics Department this week show overseas cargo handled through New Zealand ports and airports has dropped for the first two months of the year. Provisional figures for the months of January and February show 1,309,009 tonnes of. cargo was exported with a value of $1407 million. This represents a decrease of 6 per cent on last year’s figures for the same period.
