Reprimand for schools
PA Wellington Wellington schools will get an official rap over the knuckles next month for taking primary and intermediate children to see films rated GY. The Wellington Education Board decided without question this week to send schools a message from the Minister of Education, Mr Wellington, instructing schools to stop taking children to GY films. A GY censorship means the films can be viewed by anyone, though they are considered more suitable for those over 13.
Mr Wellington said it had been brought to his attention that some primary and intermediate schools were taking parties of children to see GY films in school time.
