Secretaries shown sights
ABOVE: Ten secretaries and receptionists from Levin and Palmerston North are shown a view of Christchurch by the executive officer of the Canterbury Promotion Council, Mr Bruce Dunstan, from the: roof of the Government Life Building yesterday. The women were in Christchurch for three hours as guests of the Levin Travel Centre and the Canterbury Promotion Council. While here they had lunch at the Town Hall Restaurant and afterwards were taken on a tour of the central city by vintage cars.
BELOW: Miss Cathy Knowles, front, a senior Air New Zealand staff member, of Palmerston North, and Mrs Sheree Thomson, a secretary, of Levin, are taken for a row on the Avon River by Mr Dunstan.
The travel centre arranged the trip as a gesture of appreciation to the women, who usually make the travel arrangements for their management.
