Soviet aid for Iraq
NZPA-Reuter Moscow The Soviet Union will help Iraq develop a new main oilfield and build two new power stations, reports the official news agency, Tass.
It said the aid was agreed at a meeting of a joint economic commission in Moscow. No other details were given. The announcement coincided with an exchange of telegrams between Iraqi and Soviet leaders marking the twelfth anniversary of their friendship treaty.
