P.C.N. costs correction
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries sought $15,692 in legal expenses and witnesses’ costs from three Canterbury farmers who mounted a High Court challenge over potato cyst nematode. Mr Justice Savage awarded $5OOO in the High Court recently. A report in last week’s Farm and Station pages said that the M.A.F. had sought $294,926, but this was the original amount claimed by the farmers in compensation from the M.A.F.
