Civil defence exercise
Sir, — On behalf of the Christchurch Civil Defence Organisation I thank all those who attended or participated in the civil defence exercise conducted at the Show Grounds on March 31/April 1. Whether as an individual, or as part of a volunteer organisation, the contribution that everyone made ensured that the exercise was a great success. To have so many give their time and efforts in the interests of their fellow citizens was greatly appreciated. There are far too many to contact individually, so would those who were involved please accept this as our personal thanks for their support — Yours, etc., i. JACK BRUNTON, L f Civil Defence April 9, 1984.
