Bardot topless
NZPA-Reuter London Britain’s biggest-selling newspaper, the “Sun,” was censured yesterday for publishing a picture of Brigitte Bardot topless. The Press Council, ethical watchdog of the British press, said the photograph, taken with a zoom lens and printed without her consent, was a gross intrusion into her privacy. The picture showed the actress relaxing by her private pool in the south of France. The council said it was the second time in four months it had upheld a complaint against the “Sun” for printing such photographs. The paper is owned by Australian publisher, Rupert Murdoch.
