Wellington reporter A register of industrial i effluent standards is being compiled by the Commis- i sion for the Environment. i It aims to collate all i available overseas data on established standards for in- I dustrial effluent discharges I and, if enough interest is ] shown, to publish the results 1 as having them <
available for public scrutiny. The standards will not be promoted for application in New Zealand as some would not be appropriate. The commission said, however, that.it would be to New Zealand’s advantage to know what standards had been, set overseas, so they considered here!
