Man found injured later dies

A young man who was found near his motor-cycle on State highway 1 near Blenheim on Tuesday night died soon after in spite of attempts by ambulance officers and a doctor to resuscitate him. He was Graeme Christopher Jones, aged 20, of Battys Road, Blenheim.
Mr Jones left his home at 7.15 p.m. and was found 10 minutes later about 400 m south of St Andrews Lodge. His motor-cycle was only slightly damaged. The Blenheim police do not consider that any other vehicle was directly involved in the accident. In Palmerston North a young man died when his car left- the road on the outskirts of the city yesterday. He was the only occupant of the car and had not been identified, the police said.
An Otaki boy aged three, died in Wellington Hospital on Tuesday evening after a tractor accident.
