NZPA London The New Zealand squash star, Susan Devoy, is through to the final of the Adidas tournament of champions after beating her compatriot, Robyn Blackwood, in the semi-finals. Devoy will play the British No. 2, Martine le Moignan, in the final at Gloucester tomorrow. Le Moignan beat the Australian No. 1, Rhonda Thorne, in their semi-final. Devoy, ranked No. 4 in the world, beat Blackwood, 13-10, 13-11, 13-11. She will play in the French Open this week-end, playing on an all-glass blue court with a white ball for the first time. “Susan will be working hard over the next week and Paris will be a good

warm-up for the British Open on April 2,” said her coach, Bryce Taylor, yesterday. In the Audi World Cup pairs tournament, Devoy and Britain’s Gawain Briars will meet another New Zealander, Stuart Davenport, and the British No. 3, Angela Smith, in the semifinals on April 13. Devoy and Briars beat Hiddy Johan and Alison Cumings in the quarterfinals and Davenport and Smith beat Blackwood and Qamar Zaman. Ross Norman (New Zealand ) will meet Maqsood Ahmed in the final of the Adidas Colts tournament on April 14 after beating Davenport in the semifinals. Ahmed beat the British No. 2, Phil Kenyon.
