OTHKHbICONSULTING ENGINEERS CROMWELL BOROUGH COUNCIL NEIGHBOURHOOD 1 DEVELOPMENT 1983/84 CONTRACTS FOR TRUNKMAINS AND RESIDENTIAL ENGINEERING SERVICES THE CROMWELL BOROUGH COUNCIL invites suitably experienced contractors to tender for various contracts associated with the council’s 1983/84 expansion programme for Neighbourhood 1. The upgrading of trunk service mains, residential streetworks and engineering services are within Neighbourhood 1 (the older urban areas of the Borough). A brief description of the contracts proposed under the council’s 1983/84 programme are as follows. (All have an approximate seven month contract period.) (A) CONTRACT NO. 18 - ALPHA STREET STREETWORKS The work contained in this contract includes the excavation, metalling and sealing of approximately 3400 sq m of street carriageway, kerb and channel construction, asphaltic concrete footpaths, vehicle entranceways to residential sections, o.2km watermain (100 mm diameter), o.6km stormwater drains and sanitary sewers (150 mm to 375 mm diameter) and associated works Including connections to residential sections. The contract also provides for topsoiling and grassing of street verges. Sealed tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 18.” (B) CONTRACT NO. 19 - INNISCORT/GAVAN/ DERRY STREETS SANITARY SEWERS AND STREETWORKS The work contained in this contract includes the excavation, metalling and sealing of approximately 4000 sq m of street carriageways, kerb and channel construction, asphaltic concrete footpaths, vehicle entranceways to residential sections, I.lkm stormwater drains (225 mm and 300 mm diameter) and sanitary sewers (100 mm and 150 mm diameter contracted partly through residential property) and associated works. Seal tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 21.” (E) CONTRACT NO. 22 - NEPLUSULTRA STREET TRUNKMAIN AND STREETWORKS The work contained in this contract includes the excavation, metalling and sealing of approximately 3500 sq m of street carriageways, kerb and channel construction, asphaltic concrete footpaths, vehicle entranceways to residential sections, minor watermain connections, o.2km of 1350 mm diameter trunk stormwater drain, o.3km stormwater drains and sanitary sewers (150 mm to 300 mm diameter) and associated works. The contract also provides for topsoiling and grassing of street verges and trenching for underground cables.
