Disabled in training ship
PA Auckland The Spirit of Adventure sail-training vessel was crewed by physically handicapped young people for the first time when she left Wellington yesterday afternoon on a week-end voyage. The 12 trainees on the trip have handicaps including blindness, deafness, cerebral palsy, and mongolism. Each will be accompanied by an able-bodied “buddy” during the voyage.
