Children take part in a puppet show by the group, Strings and Things, in the Canterbury Public Library. The puppeteers, Jim Riley, Marianne Thorpe, and Bertha Tobias, were performing as part of the Christchurch Festival. Strings and Things, was formed about two years ago and has since performed for various organisations, including the Intellectually Handicapped Society and the Methodist City Mission. Puppet workshops have also been held.
