Situations Vacant GOVERNMENT OF WESTERN SAMOA WESTERN SAMOA PUBLIC SERVICE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TEACHERS with the qualifications and experience shown below are required for positions in the two secondary schools In Western Samoa for a three-year term. QUALIFICATIONS: New Zealand qualified teacher experience in a secondary school. SALARY: Commencing salary will be in the range of $15,520 — $17,340 Western Samoan tala per annum, with annual increments of 750 (tala) for the second year, and 1000 (tala) for an optional third year. Positions at the different Colleges are: SAMOA COLLEGE: Senior Chemlstry/Sclence 1 Form 3-6 Senior Accounting 1 Form 3-6. Senior English 1 Form 3-6. Senior Maths 1 Form 3-6. AVELE COLLEGE: Senior Chemlstry/Sclence 1 Form 3-6. Senior English 1 Form 3-6 Senior Maths 1 Form 3-6. ALLOWANCES: Cost of Living: married SWS7SO pa. single SWS3OO pa. Child allowance: For each dependent child resident in Western Samoa $2OO pa. Inducement allowance: $2OO p.a. Payment at completion of Service in Western Samoa. Re-establishment grant: $lOO (contractor) $lOO (wife) $2O (each dependent child) Furlough: Will be granted In respect of actual service in Western Samoa and Is 2 working days for each completed month os Service. GENERAL: Economy class airfares for officer and family from place of recruitment and return at end of contract. Soft furnishing allowance of $5O will be paid In respect of approved items. Boarding allowance of SWSBOO pa. will be paid for each dependent child in country of recruitment. Insurance up to $2500 cover on household and personal effects will b be reimbursed. Sea fright will be paid on household and personal effects up to 1.7 cubic metres for a single officer and 5 cubic metres plus .6 cubic metre for each dependent child for a married officer. House with heavy furniture will be provided at current rental rates of: 1 Bedroom SWSI2O per month. 2 bedrooms SWSI4O per month. 3 bedrooms SWSI6O per month.
