Spell for Pinson
Special correspondent
New Plvmouth
In a major reversal of plans, Hawera trainer, Don Couchman, has eased his top sprinter, Pinson, from all training. 'T’ve turned him out for a spell." Couchman said yesterday. “There is nothing wrong with the horse, it’s just that I was not entirely happy with him so I decided to give him a break."
He said Pinson would spell on his Waitara owner’s property for an undecided time.
Pinson handles most track conditions and it was this fact that made the decision to rest Pinson a bit easier. “I can bring him back at any time of the year and should be able to find suitable races for him,” Couchman said.
