Jewellery for Aust.
PA Wellington Two pieces of New Zealand jewellery have been sold to the Australian National Gallery in Canberra.
The jewellery, crafted by two Aucklanders, Warwick Freeman and Elena Gee, has been bought for the gallery’s permanent decorative arts collection. Mr Freeman’s brooch, entitled “lure,” was made from wood lashed with chrysophase, pebbles, and plastic. Ms Gee’s piece was made of titanium, enamels, silver, and gold.
