Jubilate
The Jubilate Singers group was founded in Christchurch in 1977 by Martin Setchell, who still directs the chamber choir. Its Renaissance and Baroque choral music performances have gained it a reputation in the city for that type of music. The singers tour regularly and have recorded for radio and television. Their Christchurch Festival performance will be in the Christchurch Cathedral on Sunday. The programme will include sacred music and motets by Byrd, Bach and Durufle and the New Zealand premiere of a work by Auckland composer David Hamilton.
