West Germany’s leisure activities industry is gearing up for more business as Germans find themselves with more free time, and the trade unions press for a 35-hour week. The latest leisure aid is this motorised skateboard, unveiled in Hamburg recently. Powered by a twostroke engine, it will do 40 km/h and run for an hour on a tank of fuel. It costs about $800.
