Sir,—l heard the broadcast to which Mrs Nihoniho refers and took it at face value - Mrs Francis making a lot of fuss about the Tasmanian incident Apparently at a public meeting which I missed she corrected this impression in such a way as to suggest dishonest reporting by the Broadcasting Corporal ion of New Zealand. This need., sorting ouUHas managed news arrived? I
that a time slot is finite and that garrulous speakers have to be trimmed in editing; but a “balanced diet” is essential in contentious areas. Is the public getting this, or are documentaries mostly make-believe? The B.C.N.Z. owes an explanation.—Yours, etc.,
