N.Z. to ship Aust. meat
NZPA-Reuter Sydney The Australian Meat and Livestock Corporation says it has designated the Shipping Corporation of New Zealand as a carrier of Australian meat exports to the United States. The designation comes after arrangements by the Mng Corporation to buy ank and Saville line, which runs through the
United States” east coast and Gulf ports to service the North American trade.
The Australian Governrpent gave approval for the new service to begin on April 1. The chairman of A.M.L.C. Mr R. G. Jones, said the new arrangements allow for the Shipping Corporation to discharge meat cargoes at United States west coast ports.
