Nuclear talks by U.N. man
PA Wellington A United Nations delegate from Sweden will speak on nuclear disarmament at meetings throughout New Zealand next week. The United Nations under-secretary-general for disarmament affairs, Mr Jan Martenson, at the New Zealand Government’s invitation, will speak on the world disarmament campaign run by the United Nations.
He will speak in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin. The Christchurch meeting will be on March 8, in the Canterbury Public Library’s Stringleman Room, at 8 p.m.
