Rogers’ fast 1500m time
PA Hamilton Waikato’s Tony Rogers ran more than a second under the Olympic 1500 m qualifying time in a special attempt at Porritt Stadium in Hamilton. Another Waikato athlete,
Dianne Rodger, was two seconds outside the 3000 m mark. Rogers, whose 3min 36.7 s took 3s from the Waikato record, said it was one of those evenings when everything went right
