' U/ / NEW TELEPHONE EXCHANGE SERVICE IN WAIAU, CULVERDEN AND HANMER SPRINGS AT 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday, March the new automatic tellephone exchanges at Walau and Culverden will be brought Into operation. Coincidental with this event will be the introduction of ”111” service, free calling between Walau, Culverden and Hanmer Springs, subscriber toll dialling (S.T.D.) and international subscriber dialling (1.5. D. Subscribers are requested to refer to a separate Information bulletin previously distributed for details relating to these services. As the Introduction of the new exchanges involves major changes to the equipment, it is requested that urgent calls only be made bebtween 10.15 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. on March 7, 1984. Coincident with the Introduction of the new exchanges will be separate functions at the Walau Hall and Culverden Community Hall commencing at 10.00 a.m. sharp on March 7, 1984.
