Firearm allegation
A youth described by the Christchurch police as a boot boy will appear in the District Court today charged with presenting a firearm at another person. The youth, aged 18, is alleged to have pointed a firearm at a businessman in
a public place in St Albans about midday. The police said the businessman was not hurt in the incident. He made off from the youth and got in touch with the police, who arrested the youth soon after. Nor further details were available about the incident
