Woman drowns
PA Hamilton A Hamilton woman drowned on Tuesday at Mount Maunganui after getting into difficulties in heavy seas. She was Dorothy Hailwood, aged 53, a housewife.
Mrs Hailwood drowned at Ocean Beach about 2.30 p.m.
