Lyndon Robert returns south
The C 9 pacer Lyndon Robert has returned south to West Melton, but is unlikely to race again until the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s national meeting in August. The sale of the Nardin’s
Byrd four-year-old has fallen through and his Christchurch owner, Mr Max Bowden, said yesterday that it was unlikely Lyndon Robert would be forward in time for the Easter Cup meeting at Add-
ington in April. The former top two-year-old, which equalled the New Zealand record for a mile of Imin 58.9 s last season, has not raced since finishing fifth in the New Zealand Messenger Final, won by
Nostradamus, in late December.
