La Favourite’s consistency may be rewarded at Akaroa

By JEFF SCOTT La Favourite could be rewarded for consistency when she contests the 13000 D.B. Thelma Memorial Stakes, the principal event at the Akaroa Trotting Club’s on-course betting meeting on the Motukarara grass track this afternoon. A member of lan Cameron’s in-form Rangiora team, the Nevele Bigshot mare has never been further back than sixth in her last five starts and could be at the improving stage. Bubbles, Rosina Pryde, Fidelity, Kama Marie, and Simone are others with strong prospects in the first leg of the course double for CO fillies and mares. Boyden Lad, a good fourth two starts back at Addington, is one of many chances in an open field for the second leg of the course double, the D.E. Woodill Handicap over 2000 metres.
